Tour plan for my HK family vacation

by Sanjay Jain
(Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates)

We are coming to Honk Kong on 5th April morning 11:35 Hrs ( two kids of age 14 years and 6 years) for 5N / 6D starting from 6th April to 11th April 2012 from Dubai and then directly going to Macau from HKIA. we are going to stay one night at Venetian Hotel, Macau on 5th April.

We will be in Hong Kong on 6th April 2012 afternoon around 15:00 Hrs. and staying at Metropark Hotel Kowloon area. Our departure is on 11th April morning 11:00 Hrs.

Please suggest me the best itinerary to cover most of the Hong Kong tourist attraction places and how to get there. Disneyland, Ocean park, Giant Buddha, Victoria Peak, Ladies Market, Night life, big shopping area, Malls, good vegetarian Indian restaurant for Lunch / Dinner.

What would you suggest to go for Disneyland / Ocean park on Saturday / Sunday or other working day??

How to get 3-4 days pass for MTR and how much it cost? whether we get only one day pass or can get 3-4 days pass as well.

Please suggest the places of attraction in Macau also.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards

apr 10: HK Museums --> HK Shopping --> Lan Kwai Fong

*click on the links for detailed travel instructions.

I suggest you purchase the Octopus card since you will be staying for more than 3 days. An octopus card will cost HK$150, which is inclusive of a HK$50 refundable deposit and HK$100 stored value. So any amount left on the card at the end of your stay in Hong Kong is refundable along with the HK$50 deposit minus HK$7 for handling fee.

Your Octopus can be reloaded up to HK$1,000 in total value at thousands of locations throughout Hong Kong. Visit the following locations for cash reloading:

-Authorised Add Value Service Providers, such as convenience stores, supermarkets, fast-food chains

-MTR Customer Service Centres
