re: another question
by: hkinsider Don

Here's how to travel from Yuen Long to Ocean Park:
Get into the Yuen Long MTR station --> West Rail Line train and get off at East Tsim Sha Tsui station --> walk to the adjacent Tsim Sha Tsui station and take the Tsuen Wan Line train to Admiralty station (39 mins @ HK$32.9) and then take Exit B --> bus 629 to Ocean Park entrance.

From Ocean park to the rest of the places mentioned, please go to this page to read travel instruction.

From Avenue of Stars to Ladies' market:
Get into the nearby Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station --> take the Tsuen Wan Line train and get off at Mong Kok station (7 mins @ HK$4.6) and then take Exit E2 --> walk 4 mins and follow directional signs to the market at Tung Choi st.

another question. :-)

Hello :)

Getting to Wan Chai from Disneyland: Take the Disneyland Resort Line to Sunny Bay station. Take the Tung Chung Line going to Hong Kong and get off to that last station. Interchange trains to the Island Line going to Chai Wan and get off at Wan Chai station (43 minutes at HK$21.7).

Hello Allen :)

Here's my suggested itinerary to maximize your trip.

april 13: Ngong Ping 360 --> Hong Kong Disneyland (don't miss the "Disney in the Stars" fireworks at 8pm

april 14: Ocean Park --> Victoria Peak (pop into Madame Tussauds)--> Star Ferry--> Avenue of Stars --> Symphony of Lights at 8pm--> Street Markets - Ladies' Night Market

april 15: Shenzhen - Window of the World

* You need to secure a China Visa to get to Shenzhen.

april 16: HK Airport

Here's to read about Octopus Cards (post dated July 2, 2011).

Note: the bold and blue color fonts stands for major hong kong tourist attractions, their links are in the bottom of this page. Please follow those links to read more information about it specially on how to get there.

Enjoy!

Hi,

just for additional info. we will be in hongkong from April 13-16. we will arrive in hongkong at 9:15am of April 13 and will fly back in Manila 9:00AM of April 16.

can you help me with an itinerary that will maximize our length of stay in hongkong.. we like to go to disney land, Ngong Ping 360, the peak, ocean park, avenue of stars and windows of the world in Shenzhen. and if possible jade market or other night market available.

and also do we need a visa in entering Shenzhen even for only a day trip? we're from Philippines.

and my last question is how do octopus card work? is there really an unlimited ride that cost HK$300? that can ride MTR n buses?

hope you can answer all my questions.. will wait for your feedback..

thanks a lot in advance!! your site really helps a lot..

Allen
