Transport to Disneyland

by Ashley

Can 4 adults, 1 toddler and 1 infant fit in a taxi in Hong Kong?

Does it make more sense, in terms of cost, to take the taxi from the airport to Disneyland instead of the train?

How likely will there be traffic jam between airport to Disneyland?

Hello Gia

Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong is located at 1 Harbour Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong.

*Getting to Disneyland from Renaisance Harbour View: Get to Wan Chai MTR station and take the Island Lines going to Sheung Wan and get off at Central station--> Interchange trains to Tung Chung Line at Hong Kong station and get off at Sunny bay station--> Interchange trains to Disneyland Resort.(42-minutes @ HK$21.7)

*Getting to Ocean Park from Renaisance Harbour View: Get to Wan Chai MTR station and take the Island Line going to Sheung Wan and get off at Admiralty station Exit B(3-minutes @ HK$3.8). Upon exit, get on the special CityBus CTB 629 for about 25 minutes bus ride @ HK$10.6, an express bus travel between Admiralty (west) and Ocean Park (main entrance).

Here's to read more details about the octopus card.

What the quickest way to disneyland from renaissance harbor view. And to ocean park from the same hotel? How much? Will it be cheaper to get the octopus card? We are a family of 5. Thanks!

Hello Ashley,

Your group should be NO problem when taking a taxi from HK airport to Disneyland. HK taxis are quite wide.

Yes, cost-wise for a group of 4 people, it is better to take the taxi that will cost you around HK$120 at 35 minutes drive while taking the trains will cost HK$60 per person for 33 minutes train travel time plus some walks.

There's nothing to worry about the traffic in between HKIA and HK Disneyland. Unlike at city proper, the traffic is always smooth.
