How Can I Go to Ferry Terminal Going to Macau from Hongkong?

by Reeya
(Philippines)

Good day!

This coming April 2012 would be my first time to visit Hongkong. On our first day, we want to go to Macau but we do not know what Ferry Terminal to go to. We will be staying in Lee Garden Guesthouse on Cameron Road, Tsimshatsui, Kowloon, HK.

I have listed my questions below and I really need your help! Your concrete answers would be very appreciated.

1. From Lee Garden Guesthouse, what bus do we have to take going to the Ferry Terminal? Or can we go there by just walking? And can anyone please give me the exact address of the Ferry Terminal going to Macau?

2. What is the earliest time (in the morning) of Ferry trip departure going to Macau from Hongkong?

3. What is the name and exact address of the Ferry Terminal in Macau going BACK to Hongkong?

4. What is the last departure time (last trip) in a day of a Ferry from Macau to Hongkong? Is there any available trip going back to Hongkong in 4:00PM or 5:00PM?

5. What currency do people use in Macau? Do we have to change our HK dollar currency when we arrive in Macau? May I please know the price of fare in taking a Ferry from Hongkong to Macau per head and vice versa?

Anyone who can help me with the above mentioned concerns, I would like to thank you in advance. I really need help. Thank you so much.

Sincerely,
Reeya

Hi Reeya :)

Yes, I'm referring to the Hong Kong China Ferry Terminal which is located at China Hong Kong City 33 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Just refer to the link provided for walking directions (refer to the map, look for Cameron rd.). You do not need to take a bus.

Getting to the Peak: Get to the nearest Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station. Take the Tsuen Wan Line trains going to Central station and get off to that station (8 minutes @HK$8.1) and take Exit J2. Walk about 12 minutes to the Peak Tram terminus and take the Peak Tram up to the Peak (7 minutes @ HK$40 for round trip ticket).

Getting to the Ladies' Night Market: Get to the nearest Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station. Take the Tsuen Wan Line trains going to Tsuen Wan and get off at Mong Kok station, exit D3 (HK$4.6 @ 7 minutes). Follow directional signs to the market.

Hello stellar, thank you for the info. I do appreciate your comment. But I was a bit confused of what Ferry terminal exactly do we have to go to? Is it the Ferry Ticketing Office at China Ferry Terminal, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon? I maybe needing the exact directions on how to get there FROM Lee Garden Guesthouse. Maybe we would prefer taking a bus since we only have limited budget upon going there. Please do help us.

I have additional query here, how about going to Victoria Peak and Ladies' Market if we are coming from Lee Garden Guesthouse? Can you also please give us the exact directions on this? Thank you so much, your effort is highly appreciated. More power to you!
