Suggested itinerary in HK and Macau

by Hazel
(Philippines)

Our family of three will be arriving on May 5 to 8, 2011 at 10:00am in HKIA and we will leave at 10:40am on May 8.

Can you please advise me on our itinerary for 2 whole days in Hongkong and 1 day in Macau?

We want to visit HK Disneyland,Victoria Peak, Ngong Ping 360, Ocean Park, Giant Buddha and Symphony of Lights and do some night shopping, is it possible?

We shall be staying at BP International Hotel.

How can we get to BP International from HKIA?

Can you also include in your suggestions on how do we get to those places and yummiest to eat but budget friendly.

Thank you very much!

Luggage lockers at the Peak
by: HKinsider Don

Hello Kate,

There's NO luggage storage available at the Peak at this moment but I've learned that they wanted to offer that service soon.

Your option is to leave your luggage at the Hong Kong MTR station luggage storage that can be reached thru Exit B2.

It will cost HK$40 per luggage that stored not more than 3 hrs and HK$55 if you stored more than 3 hrs up to 24 hrs.

The service hours is from 6:00am to 1:00am.

It is ideal specially if you take the Airport Express trains from HK airport straight to Hong Kong station and then from Hong Kong station to the Peak by taxi or by bus 15C.

any luggage lockers at The Peak

Hi! We would like to go straight to The Peak from the airport. Is there anywhere at the Peak where we can store our luggage? Thank you so much in advance.

Please follow the links below for detailed information specially in getting there.

Day 1: Disneyland and the Temple Street Night Market (good itinerary, very doable)

HK Disneyland luggage lockers details in here.

Day 2: Ocean Park, The peak, Symphony of Lights (and Avenue of Stars), and Ladies Street Market (also doable).

Ocean Park from 10:00am to 4:00pm --> The Peak, until 7:00pm --> Symphony of Lights, until 8:00pm --> Ladies' market, until 11:30pm

Day 3: Ngong Ping, and Jade market (very doable and also a good itinerary).

Ngong Ping 360 and Ngong Ping village until 3 pm then proceed right away to Jade market as it will close a bit early at 5:00 pm

Suggested itinerary in HK and Macau
by: Hazel

Hi,

Thank you for your suggestions. But can you give your comments on my planned itinerary.

Day 1
Disneyland (day)
temple street (night)

If we actually go straight from HKIA to Disney, will there be a luggage counter where we can leave our luggage? how much do they charge us?
Can please give specifics on how do we go about it?

Day 2
Ocean Park (day)
The peak (late afternoon to night)
Symphony of light
Ladies market
How do we go about this trip?

Day 3
Ngong Ping (day)
Jade market (late afternoon)

What's the opening and closing time of all these places?

Thanks again for your help.

Re: Suggested itinerary in HK and Macau

Actually, you can go directly to Disneyland from the airport (recommended) then check-in to your hotel at night.

Try to visit in this page, 2 days in HK and 1 day in Macau. Here you'll see almost exactly the same itinerary about the places you've mentioned above. Only you can do shopping specially the well-known night market shopping late afternoon in your 2nd day stay in HK.

Here's how to get to BP International Hotel from Hong Kong International Airport (click link to see maps and directions).

Or, if you're coming from Disneyland, take the MTR trains from Disneyland station --> interchange trains Sunny Bay station --> interchange trains at Nam Cheong station --> then take Exit F at Austin MTR station (31 minutes @ HK$16.6).

Don't worry about foods, there are always a variety of restaurants you can choose also with fast food restaurants that you can find when traveling around Hong Kong specially in Tsim Sha Tsui area where your hotel is located.
