We arrive at Hong Kong on August 3 at around 9:00pm and depart on August 7 at 8:00am. We only have three days of trip and we want to make the most out of it.

August 3: We plan to go directly from the Hong Kong International Airport to our hostel at Cameron rd., Tsim sha tsui then go to the Victoria Peak, Avenue of Stars and other attractions that are open in the evening.

How do we get to the Victoria Peak the cheapest and fastest way from Nathan road? How do we get there? How long would it take? (until what time is the Symphony of lights last or finish?). when visiting Victoria harbour, Riding the Star Ferry's Hong Kong Harbour Tour are worth it or not?

August 4: we plan to go to Hong Kong Disneyland (what time is the parade started at disney?), Ngong Ping 360, Giant Buddha and other attraction at lantau island. How do we go there from the Cameron rd to Disneyland to Ngong Ping to Giant Buddha and other lantau island attraction and back to the hotel? (or from Ngong ping to Giant Buddha and other attraction then finally disneyland?) How can we spend our time wisely?

August 5: we plan to go to Macau. How long will the trip to go there be? What transportation would we take from Tsim Sha Tsui to the ferry? can we avail round trip ticket? What ferry would we take? How much time is it advisable to stay there? What time should we leave Macau for the ferry?

August 6: we also plan to visit hongkong museum or ocean park then shopping for the last minute. What shopping malls can you recommend that is near to Cameron rd.?

August 7: departure time: 8am. from Cameron rd, what is the easiest way going to HK international airport?

We would really appreciate the time schedules you could allot us, directions, and the means of transportation we need to take. Thank you very much.

Hi there,

I would like to ask if you can help me with our Hongkong visit on October 17-20,2011. We'll be arriving Oct17 at 8AM and Departure will be Oct20, 9PM. We'll be staying in one of the hotels in Causeway.What will be the fastest and cheapest way to go to the following places. Is it possible that our Day 1 will going to hotel first then Lantau island then ride the cable car? Then in between we take rest in the hotel and in the PM ride tram to Victoria's Peak?? Here are the other places we want to go ;

Disney Land - watch the fireworks
Ocean Park
Symphony of Lights, Avenue of stars
Star Ferry harbor
Shopping, Ladies market

We need to squeeze in Macau by the 3rd day, can we can ride the Ferry by 3Pm,visit Ruins, Venetian and casino and sleep in Macau for 1 night, then go back to Hongkong in the morning?
I would appreciate if you can give me how to commute and schedule of trips, thank you

August 6, Sat: I would recommend a full day in Ocean Park or maybe a visit to a couple of museums at Tsim Sha Tsui area before heading to Ocean Park is also doable.

* To see a map of museums located in TST area, please click here (scroll to the post dated "Apr 13, 2011" on that page).

* To read a detailed instruction in getting to Ocean park from Tsim Sha Tsui, please click here.

* To know about the popular shopping malls at TST area, please click here.

August 7, Sun: Getting to HK airport from Cameron rd, TST. The most economical and efficient way of travel is by taking the bus CityBus A21. The bus stop location is just across the Nathan rd. from Cameron rd. Please click here to see map and more details (scroll to the post dated "Jul 14, 2011" on that page).

Hope this help and enjoy your stay in Hong Kong and Macau!

Hi Seth,

Your arrival time in HKIA is quite tight for you to visit the Peak (open up to 11:30pm) and Symphony of Lights shows starts at 8:00pm (show last for about 15 minutes only) so I would suggest you do it in the next day.

Here's my personal itinerary recommendation for your HK - Macau trip.

August 3, Wed: HKIA arrival --> hotel at Cameron road, Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) --> Street market shopping or TST promenade

Getting there instruction from HK airport to a place in close to Cameron road in TST can be read in here (please scroll down to the post dated "Jun 17, 2011" on that page).

August 4, Thu: Disneyland (Flights of Fantasy Parade starts at 1:00pm) you should leave around 3:30pm at Disney --> Tung Chung for Cable car ride to Ngong Ping 360 (buy a round trip ticket) --> shopping at Citygate Outlets when you get back at Tung Chung --> back to your hotel.

* But if you wanted to see the "Disney in the Stars" fireworks at Disneyland that starts at 9:00pm, you may reverse the above itinerary route. Visit Ngong Ping in the morning until noon and you may take your lunch at Citygate Outlets before heading to Disney.

August 5, Fri: Getting to Macau.

* For read detailed information and our recommendation in getting to Macau, specially if you're staying somewhere in TST, please click here (you may scroll down to post dated "Apr 22, 2011" on that page). You should consider a full day in Macau and the ferry service starts from 7:00am.

I just came from Hong Kong last week and the easiest way to go to different attractions in HK is by riding MTR (Train).

I advised you upon arriving at Hong Kong International Airport, make sure to get a map (its free of charge) coz it will help you a lot by going to different places there.

The Symphony of Orchestra starts around 8pm (too bad that we didn't have the chance to go there because of the bad weather).

Enjoy your trip and for sure you will love Hong Kong.
