Itinerary for our 1 Day Macau-3 days HK Tour

Macau International Airport is located on Taipa Island and is connected to the peninsula by a bridge and bus service. After taking the bus to your hotel you will be able to grab a bite to eat at a nearby restaurant or food stall and turn in for the night.

The next day it is time to explore Macau. Most of the main attractions can be explored on foot and include the Barrier Gate, the Kun Iam Temple, Leal Senado Square, Guia fort and the Ruinas de Sao Paulo cathedral. The Docks area is a great place to pause for lunch, as there are plenty of excellent cafes to choose from here as well as shops to browse for bargains in.

At around 4pm you can the hydrofoil ferry directly from Macau to Hong Kong. Ferries leave every 30 minutes or so and the journey takes just 45 minutes. After checking in at the Regal Oriental Hotel Kowloon you will probably want to find something to eat and explore Hong Kong’s nightlife scene. The Kowloon district offers an excellent range of street food to try, especially along Hau Fook street and at the Temple street Night Market. This is a good time to explore the Avenue of Stars, which can be reached by taking the train to the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station.

The next morning you should wake up early and head to Disneyland Theme Park. This attraction is located on Lantau island. To get there take the MTR to Sunny Bay station on the Tung Chung MTR line and then changing onto the Disneyland Resort Line.

Po Lin Monastery is also located on Lantau island and can be reached by taking a cable car from Tung Chung town centre. After exploring the temple, take the MTR to the ferry stop and take a ferry to Victoria Harbour on Hong Kong island. From here you will be able to take a cable car to the very top of Victoria Peak to enjoy the stunning scenery. You should arrive just in time to see the sunset, which is spectacular at this time of year.

An early start is recommended the next morning to see Ocean Park, which is located on the southern side of Hong Kong. The park opens at 9am, which allows plenty of time to enjoy all of the major attractions by around 2pm. To get there take the Kowloon Motor Bus to Aberdeen Tunnel.

The Ladies Market is located in Mong Kok and you can take a bus straight there from Ocean Park to pick up souvenirs before heading home. In order to catch your fight home you will want to make sure that you arrive at Hong Kong International Airport at around 6:30pm. The Airport Express train is the fastest way of getting to the airport and there is a station at Kowloon. It takes around 25 minutes and w/ a free shuttle bus that runs from your hotel to the Kowloon station.

During your visit I would travel to MTR to Nathan Road, which is famous for its vibrant nightlife scene. This is a great place to indulge in a spot of shopping.I work for Lovestruck Hong Kong and we love to use Nathan Road as its the prefect location for a really enjoyable night out.
