(Philippines)

It will be my family's first time to travel HK this coming November 2011. We will be staying at Regal Oriental Hotel in Kowloon City. Already planned to go to HK Disneyland, Ocean Park, Avenue of Stars, Symphony of Lights, The Peak, Madamme Tussauds, Temple Street Night Market, Stanley Market, Flower Market.

I already have a route

1. from Airport to Regal Oriental Hotel
>> take CityBus CTB A22
>> get off station #12 (airport station as #1)
>> 2min walk from station to Hotel

How to get:

2. from Regal Oriental Hotel to Disney Land

3. from Regal Oriental Hotel to Ocean Park

4. from Regal Oriental Hotel to Avenue of Stars/Symphony of Lights

5. from Regal Oriental Hotel to The Peak

6. from Regal Oriental Hotel to The Temple Street Market

7. from Regal Oriental Hotel to Tai Yuen Street

8. from Regal Oriental Hotel to Ladies' Market

9. from Regal oriental Hotel to Flower Market

10. from Regal Oriental Hotel to Stanley Market

Please advise what trains/bus to ride and where to get off.
It does not have to be from the Hotel itself. Can be from the Hotel to 1 location then next location.

Thank you very much.

Finally we got the ample time after working for a long two years! Two months long leave that too paid off! Life was very disgusting being on shore in all time moving vessel. Now I could get time to spend with my family in Hong Kong.

Re: Direction from kowloon pier to regal oriental hotel
by: HKinsider Don

Hello Vera, there are number of Pier in Kowloon area, may I know what pier you'll be arriving and where you coming from?

I assume you're coming from Macau, and you'll arrive at Hong Kong China Ferry Terminal (First Ferry) which is located at China Hong Kong City 33 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.

Yes, taxis in Hong Kong are very safe and it is a good travel option considering your in group.

A taxi from the pier to Regal Oriental Hotel is about 14 mins drive @ HK$60.

* Getting to Stanley Market:
I suggest you'll take a taxi all the way to the Tsim sha Tsui Star Ferry Pier (about 12 minutes @ HK$35). Get on board in the Star Ferry going to Central (9 minutes @ HK$2.5). Walk about 5 minutes to the nearby Central Exchange Square Bus Terminus, take the bus (listed below) and then get off at Stanley Market bus stop located at Stanley Village Road after Stanley Beach Road (opposite Stanley Market and after Stanley Beach Road). Follow directional signs to the street market nearby to the opposite side of the road.

You can take any of following bus nos.;
  • CTB 260 (43 mins @ HK$10.6),

  • CTB 6A (45 mins @ HK$8.4),

  • CTB 6 (52 mins @ HK$7.9),

  • CTB 6X (52 mins @ HK$8.4),

  • NWFB 66 (50 mins @ HK$8.9).

* Getting to Tai Yuen Street, Wan Chai, Hong Kong:
Get into the Prince Edward MTR subway station. Take the Tsuen Wan Line train going to Central and get off at Admiralty station. Interchange trains to the Island Line to going to Chai Wan but just get off at next station - Wanchai station (15 minutes @ HK$9.9) and then take Exit A3. Take a couple of minutes to the Tai Yuen Street direction or Wanchai market.

Tai Yuen Street is a paradise for kids who love toys. It houses many toy shops and stalls that offer appealing and often inexpensive children's toys. Opens daily at 7:00am - 7:00pm

Hope this help and enjoy your stay in the City of Life!

* Getting to the Victoria Peak:
I suggest you'll take a taxi all the way to the Tsim sha Tsui Star Ferry Pier (about 12 minutes @ HK$35). Get on board in the Star Ferry going to Central (9 minutes @ HK$2.5). Walk to the nearby Central Ferry Pier bus terminus and take the bus 15C to Peak Tram bus terminus (10 minutes @ HK$4.2) then take the Peak Tram up to the Peak. Please click here to read related topic and see a route map.

* Getting to the Avenue of Stars / Symphony of Lights:
Take a taxi all the way to the Tsim sha Tsui promenade (about 12 minutes @ HK$35). Walk along TST promenade to visit the Avenue of Stars (also about 4 minutes walk from the TST Star Ferry pier) and wait until 8:00pm to watch the Symphony of Lights show (free of charge).

* Getting to The Temple Street Night Market and Ladies' Market (these two famous HK open-air street markets are walking distance from each other):
Just take a taxi straight to Ladies' Market at Mong Kok (close to Mong Kok MTR station) then follow directional signs to the Temple Street Night Market at Yau Ma Tei to Jordan area for about 10 minutes walk.

* Getting to Flower Market:
You can take a taxi from the hotel straight to the Flower Market Road (9 minutes @ HK$25) or you can take about 10 minutes walk if you're at Ladies Market area.

The City's most fragrant avenue is the Flower Market Road. At the Flower Market, blooms from around the world line the stalls and are priced at almost 1/3 of city flower stores.

Here's the location map of the 3 street markets mentioned above, namely; Ladies' Market, Temple Street Night Market, and Flower Market:
