Public transportation in Hong Kong are very efficient, specially the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) which is a very rapid transit railway system in HK that takes you to most places around the city.

It is also very comfortable to take the buses in Hong Kong and some of its routes is more direct than the MTR.

Ferries are also very efficient specially in getting to and from the HK outlying Islands.

If coming from HK airport to USA hostel, I would suggest you take the Citybus CTB A21 at the Airport (Ground Transportation Centre). By counting the Airport (GTC) as bus stop no.1, you need to get off at bus stop no.13 which is located at 82- 84 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui (64 minutes bus trip @ HK$33) and then about a minute walk to the hostel in Mirador Mansion.

Here's the location map of USA Hostel Hong Kong and nearby major public transportation access points.

USA Hostel Hong Kong is a 2-star hotel conveniently located at Flat F1 13F Mirador Mansion, 58 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong where this area is very well known as the heart of the city where transportation and shopping hub are at proximity.

The most efficient way to travel from USA Hostel Hong Kong to Ladies' Market is through MTR trains.

Here's how. Get into the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR train subway station (nearest Exit is D1 or D2, see map above) and take the Tsuen Wan Line train going to Tsuen Wan and just get off at Mong Kok station. It will only takes 7 minutes train travel at HK$4.6 using octopus card.

Hope this help and enjoy your HK trip!

Re: Tram Route

Hong Kong Tramways or "DingDing" as being called by locals is a tram system in Hong Kong that runs in Hong Kong Island between Shau Kei Wan and Kennedy Town, with a branch circulating Happy Valley.

The Tram numbers and colors represents its Make/Model or Generation and do NOT represents its route as they have common stops on that particular route as if taking the MTR trains.

The Tram fare is HK$2 for adults, and HK$1 for children under 12 and senior citizens 65 and above.

Luggage in the bus.

In Hong Kong, is there any rule for luggage in the bus?

For example one passenger may only bring 2 luggage maximum, or maybe there is maximum size for a luggage.

There's no specific rule being implied about luggage that can be carried inside the bus in Hong Kong.

Though you can see passengers who took the bus are usually carrying small to standard size luggage, always in hurry and falling in line before the bus arrives at the bus stop. Bringing along oversized luggage into the bus is NOT recommended as it can hinder the passenger loading and cause delays, one should take a taxi instead. Also, oversized luggage may NOT fit into the bus door.

Again, bus is to be considered as way of transport when you travel light or not bringing along bulky luggage.
