Me, my husband and 3.5yrs kid will have 11hrs layover in HK.

We are planning to visit Ngong Ping and Victoria Peak.

We would land at 6:50am in Hk airport and should leave the luggage in 'left baggage' terminal 1 or 2, and the flight is at 6:30pm in the evening. We don't know how long it would take to do the formalities and then get out of airport.

Please guide us to utilise the time properly. Also we have the same 11hrs layover while returning from NZ. please suggest do we have to get transited 2 times paying money.

Hi Tam,

Getting thru the Hong Kong immigration is very efficient, they have lot of counters serving for HK visitors and it only takes minutes, could be 5 minutes waiting (maximum).

Yes, every time you wanted to go to the city proper then you need to go through HK immigration and custom formalities.
