My friend and I will be arriving hopefully at Hong Kong airport on Sept 5 at 1am and depart on Sept. 8, 1:35am. So we will be staying 3 nights and 4 days in HK and Macau and we want to make the most out of it. As first timers, we need help on how to go around without wasting so much time getting lost.

Since we are on a budget, we plan to book our nights in one of the guest houses in Mirador Mansion or Chung king Mansion. Which is better that you can recommend? Also, would 1 day enough to visit important tourist spots in Macau? Or do we have to overnight in there?

Please make us an itinerary of our travel with route, transportation back and forth and fare of its ride. We need advise on how we should spend our time and money wisely.

Day 1 – Macau
Day 2 – Ocean Park, Victoria Peak, Avenue of Stars, Symphony of Lights
Day 3 – Hong Kong side for sight seeing
Day 4 – Disneyland then back to airport

Please suggest if we can add other activities.

We would really appreciate the time schedules you could allot us, directions, and the means of transportation we need to take. Thank you.

Hello Lyn,

I prefer Mirador Mansion as most of the time, Chungking is a little bit crowded.

* Travel route option in getting to Mirador Mansion from HK airport, click here.

Here's my personal comments to your HK and Macau itinerary to maximized your time.

Day 1, Sept 5: Macau. A full day in Macau would be enough to visit the most popular tourist attractions in the city. You can easily get back to Hong Kong even up to 10:00pm for ferries to TST so there's no need to book overnight in there.

Day 2, Sept 6: Ocean Park, Victoria Peak, Avenue of Stars, Symphony of Lights. This day itinerary is great and very doable.

* From TST to ocean Park, please click here to read more details specially in getting there instruction.

* And getting to the Peak from Ocean Park to TST promenade to visit Avenue of Stars and watch the Symphony of Lights, please click here to read info.

Day 3, Sept 7: Hong Kong side for sight seeing, I would suggest a visit to Repulse Bay plus shopping at Stanley Market.

Day 4, Sept 8: Disneyland then back to airport. I would suggest you check out with your hotel in the morning before heading to Disneyland and then once at Disneyland, there are luggage lockers for rent which you can leave your luggage, please click here to know the details about this services.

* Getting to HK Disneyland from Tsim Sha Tsui, just get into the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station and the rest of the instruction that you can read in here.

* To travel between HK Disneyland and HK airport, click here to read instruction (you may follow it in reverse order).

Hello :)

Here's my suggested itinerary to maximize your trip.

fri: Macau

sat: Ocean Park--> Victoria Peak (pop into Madame Tussauds)--> Star Ferry--> Avenue of Stars--> Symphony of Lights at 8pm

sun: Disneyland (don't miss the "Disney in the Stars" fireworks at 8pm)--> Ladies' Night Market

*You may hear a catholic mass before heading to Disneyland. There's a 10am mass at St. Peter's Church located at 11, Middle Road, Tsim Sha Tsui (East Tsim Sha Tsui Station Exit K).

mon: Macau

Enjoy!
