May I know what transport should I take from Disneyland to HKIA? How much does it cost? I would like to know both taxi and MTR. For MTR trains, which route should I take.

Thanks!

The places you've mentioned are close to each other which are both located in Lantau Island.

Here are the most efficient ways to travel between Hong Kong Disneyland and HKIA.

By MTR trains plus Airport Express train:

Here's an MTR and Airport Express route map from Disney to airport for your reference:
MTR route map from Hong Kong Disneyland to airport (HKIA).

If you don't have an octopus card, you need to buy one Airport Express Single Journey Ticket - Tsing Yi Station at the MTR station (HK$60 or online price = HK$57). This ticket is a 1 single journey on the Airport Express train to or from Airport and the station specified on the ticket which is Tsing Yi.

From Disneyland Resort entrance, walk to your left about two minutes to the Hong Kong Disneyland MTR station. Take the Disneyland Resort Line trains to Sunny Bay station. Interchange trains to the Tung Chung Line going to Hong Kong but you need to get off at very next station, the Tsing Yi MTR station. If you are holding an Airport Express Journey Ticket then you'll need to pay extra HK$12.5 for MTR trains while it is FREE if you use an Octopus card - recommended.

At Tsing Yi MTR station, take the Airport Express trains to the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). Total train (MTR + Airport Express) time is 35 minutes @ HK$60 using Octopus card.

By Taxi:

It is recommended that you take a taxi specially if are a group of 3 to 5 people from Disneyland to Hong Kong airport. The taxi fare is about HK$110 at approximately 30 minutes drive. There will be additional charge of your extra luggage when taking a taxi at about HK$5 - 10 / pc.

By Bus:
Taking a bus from Disneyland to airport specially if you still have plenty of time is also very exciting and cheap. Please click here to see how to get to Disneyland from HKIA by bus. Just follow the bus route in reverse order so that your bus route should be: Disneyland --> Lantau Link Toll Plaza --> Hong Kong airport. Total bus travel time is about 35 minutes @ HK$55.

Where to take a taxi
by: GCY

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I've 5 persons going, so you recommend us to take a taxi? Is 1 taxi enough for 5 of us with luggage?

So where should I take the taxi?

Hope to get your reply soon. Thanks!

Actually, taxis in HK are quite wide and 5 persons can be conveniently accommodated in a single cab specially if there is a child in the group.

The taxi stand is located close to the Disneyland Resort MTR station adjacent to the Disneyland Bus Terminus, could be a 3 minutes walk from the resort main entrance. Please refer to the interactive Disneyland map below.
