Taxis in Macau generally use meters. Be aware that there is a MOP 5 surcharge for Macau airport trips PLUS MOP 3 for luggage in the trunk of the taxi. MOP 1 is charged for each 50 seconds waiting time. Fares are calculated at MOP 11 for the first 1500m, then MOP 1 for each succeeding 180m. Macau generally accept Hong Kong dollars (HKD) on a 1:1 basis for Macau Patacas (MOP). Aug 10, 2011 Re: How to go to Golden Crown guest house from Macau airport? by: HKinsider Don From Macau Ferry terminal, take the Ferry to Hong Kong China Ferry Terminal at Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong (other Ferry route is going to Hong Kong Macau Ferry terminal at Sheung Wan). Macau to HK Ferry service hours is from 7:00 am to 10:30 pm. Ordinary Class ticket cost HK$140 on weekdays and HK$155 on weekends, here's an HK - Macau route by Ferry. Upon arrival at Hong Kong China Ferry terminal, considering you've got some luggage then I would suggest to take a taxi to Golden Crown guest house (about 6 minutes @ HK$25). Or, you can opt to walk about 10 minutes (refer to map below).
