Hongkong - Macau trip for the first time.

Hi, I will just like to ask some queries for me and my boyfriend trip next week.

DAY1
Arrival from HKIA is 9:15am, then our plan is to go straight to our hostel which is located in Cameron road TST Kowloon, wherein were planning to ride the airport bus21. Upon arrival we are planning to go to Victoria Peak, then Avenue of Stars, Heritage, Symphony of Lights, then go to Ladies market by night or Causeway Bay.

Question for day 1.
Is our itinerary right on track? Are these places adjacent to each other? And what is the best ride for these? we are in a budgeted trip. Then what are the best restaurants in TST or Kowloon, that is cheap or not that pricey but offers good tasting food? i like to try hongkong foods.

DAY2
I'm thinking of going to Ngong Ping as early as 7am just to reach Disneyland by 10am or 11am then we'll stay there up to 8pm.

Question for day 2
What and where to ride from TST to Ngong Ping? Is Ngong Ping and Disneyland close to each other? Is 3 hours visit to Ngong Ping is already fine or do we need to stay much longer? (my priority really is to stay in Disneyland until the fireworks display) Then do we need to pay something like entrance in Ngong Ping?

DAY3
Its Macau day. I'm not in a worry for this trip because a friend will fetch us in macau ferry.

Question for day 3
I know we'll be riding in China ferry terminal, but where in TST is the ferry terminal? then how much is the ride of ferry round trip. what Time do i need to ride the ferry to maximize our trip? I read that the first trip is at 7am how bout the last trip coming back to Hongkong if we are in Macau?

HELP? thanks!

Hello PRETTYME,

Here are my comments and additional information to your preferred HK - Macau itinerary.

Day 1:

Getting to your hostel from HK airport by taking bus CTB A21. From Hong Kong International Airport (Ground Transportation Centre), by counting Airport (GTC) as bus stop no.1, you need to get off at no.13th bus stop which is located at 82- 84 Nathan Road near Tsim Sha Tsui Station Exit B1 (before Cameron Road), please click here to see bus stop location map (need to scroll further down on that page). It takes about 64 minutes bus trip @ HK$33.

From your hostel, take a about 8 minutes walk to the TST Ferry Terminal and get on board of the Star Ferry to Central (9 minutes @ HK$2.5). Then nearby you can find the Central Ferry Bus Terminus, take the bus 15C to the Peak Tram (10 minutes @ HK$4.2) and then take the Tram up to the Peak (7 minutes @ HK$40 for return ticket). I recommend you take your dinner at the peak and stay there until 7:00pm. The peak offers a variety of restaurant that you can choose.

Get back to TST (you may follow same route in reverse order). Take a walk along the TST promenade and visit the Avenue of Stars and stay there until 8:00pm to watch the Symphony of Lights then you can proceed to Ladies' market after the show. That street market is about 15 minutes walk to your hostel.

You do not need to worry about on where to eat specially when you're in TST area. You can always easily find a place to dine, a variety of restaurants, fast foods restaurants (like McDonald or KFC) and Chinese restaurants. See other HK visitor recommendation in here.

Day 2:

Most efficient route in getting from Tsim Sha Tsui area to Ngong Ping then to HK Disneyland (only two MTR stops between Ngong Ping & Disneyland), please click here to read information.

There's NO entrance fee at Ngong Ping, only at some of the attractions being offered such as the "Walking with Buddha" @ HK$36 admission or the "Monkey's Tale Theatre" also @ HK$36 admission. Stay at Ngong Ping for at least 4 hours enough to explore most of its popular attractions.

Day 3: all about Macau attractions.

Most information you need (ferry price, schedule, and location map) in your Macau trip is I think you can read in here (scroll further down below to that page until you reach "Day 4"). Ferry last trip from Macau to TST, Hong Kong is at 10:30pm.
