HKIA - Macau - Hong Kong - HKIA ? Possible ?

I will arrive HKIA in Dec. Plan to head straight to Macau via the SkyPier. Then return to Hong Kong Ferry Terminal at Shun Tak Centre and continue my stay in Hong Kong for another 3 days then depart Hong Kong via HKIA. Is this possible ?

Or must I go thru the customs at HKIA and travel all the way to the Ferry Terminal to depart for Macau.

YES, the route you've mentioned above is very doable and you do NOT need to go thru HK immigration upon arrival at HK airport. You'll then do the immigration formalities upon arrival at Macau. Actually, you just by-pass Hong Kong in your way to Macau.

Your itinerary should go as follows from HK airport to Macau:

* HK airport arrival --> Airport SkyPier --> Ferry to Macau --> Macau immigration (please click here for detailed instruction for this route).

From Macau to Hong Kong:

* Macau immigration clearance at Macau Ferry Terminal --> Ferry to HK-Macau Ferry Terminal at Shun Tak Centre, Sheung Wan (or to Hong Kong - China Ferry Terminal at Tsim Sha Tsui) --> HK immigration --> Hong Kong city --> HK airport --> HK immigration clearance --> Flight departure.
