Getting around HK in 3 days

by jen

I will be traveling in HK and Macau with kids in 5 days.

What is the best itinerary? Will stay in Tsuen Wan area.

We are planning to visit Noah ark and Avenue of stars & symphony of light (day 1), Day 2 - 3 spend in Macau.

Where to visit in Macau? Will it be enough to spend only 2 days in Macau.

Day 4 to The Peak, Madame Tussauds, Repulse Bay, jumbo kingdom

Day 5 to Ngong Ping (giant Buddha)

Thank you.

Hello jen,

Here's my personal itinerary suggestion based on the location of the Hong Kong tourist attractions you've mentioned above.

Day 1: Noah's Ark (morning until after lunch) --> Ngong Ping 360 (until 6:00pm). These two places are closer to other.

Here's how to get from Tsuen Wan to Noah's Ark:
Get into the Tsuen Wan MTR station and then take the Tsuen Wan Line trains --> Get off at Lai King station --> Interchange to the Tung chung Line trains heading towards Tung Chung and get off at Tsing Yi station and take Exit C (16 minutes @ HK$3.8) --> At Tsing Yi station, follow directional signs to the nearby Park Island shuttle bus stop --> take the shuttle bus to Park Island Bus Terminus (10 minutes @ HK$9.5) --> walk a few minutes to Noah's Ark resort.

Getting to Ngong Ping from Noah's Ark:
Take the Shuttle bus from Park Island Coach Station back to Tsing Yi Railway Station --> Get into the Tsing Yi MTR station and take the Tung Chung Line train going to Tung Chung and get off to that station and take Exit B (16 minutes @ HK$11.9) --> walk to the nearby Ngong Ping 360 cable car Tung Chung terminal --> take cable car to Ngong Ping (25 minutes @ HK$115 for round trip ticket).

From Tung Chung, take the MTR trains back to Tsuen Wan. Tung Chung station --> get off and interchange trains at Lai King station to the Tsuen Wan Line to Tsuen Wan (29 minutes @ HK$11.9).

Day 2 and 3: All about Macau (2 days in Macau should be enough to visit most of its tourist attractions).
