I wish to go Ngong Ping early morning by bus, and return to Tung Chung by cable car.

What time the first trip bus to Ngong Ping? Is the giant Buddha entrance only open at 10am? Or we can go through around the PO Lin monastery? Because we need enter to Disneyland after visit giant Buddha.

Here's the timetable details for New Lantau Bus route 23 (Air-cond. Bus):

Tung Chung Town Centre "東涌市中心開" <--> Ngong Ping "昂平開"

Mondays to Saturdays (except Public Holidays):
First bus from Tung Chung to Ngong Ping = 7:15 am
Last bus from Ngong Ping to Tung Chung = 19:10pm

Sundays and Public Holidays:
First bus from Tung Chung to Ngong Ping = 8:10 am
Last bus from Ngong Ping to Tung Chung = 19:10pm

Bus fare is HK$17.20 and half fare for child below 12 yrs old and seniors above 65 yrs old.

Bus travel time is approx 50 minutes at about 21 km distance.

Bus frequency is every 20 - 30 mins.

Yes, most of the attractions at Ngong Ping opens at 10:00am - 6:00pm on weekdays and 9:00am - 6:30pm on weekends & public holidays.

I would suggest you take your breakfast at Tung Chung and catch the bus around 8:30 am so that by the time you'll arrive at Ngong Ping, the attractions are about to open.
