I would like to know if it is possible to ride the Ngong Ping cable car and go to Ocean Park and watch the Symphony of Lights in just two nights of stay?

I am planning to go on March 1 with flight arriving at 10am and leave Hong Kong at 6pm on march 3. Please give me an itinerary if my hotel is in Tsim Sha Tsui or Mong Kok area. Thank you.

Yes, the places you've mentioned for a 2 days tour in Hong Kong is doable.

There is NO significant difference if you plan to stay either Tsim Sha Tsui or Mong Kok. Both places belongs to Kowloon area where known to be the heart of Hong Kong and are very accessible to public transport like the MTR trains and buses that serves all over the city.

Here's a customized itinerary for you.

March 1:
* 10 am to afternoon = arrival to HKIA and hotel check-in;
* afternoon to early evening = proceed to the Victoria Harbour at Tsim Sha Tsui promenade where you can find the Avenue of Stars and also, this is the perfect place to watch the Symphony of Lights that starts at 7:30 pm.

March 2:
* Ocean Park for whole day.

March 3:
* Ngong Ping 360 cable car and HKIA departure. If you don't have lot of luggage, then you can check-out from your hotel in the morning and proceed to Tung Chung where you can find the Ngong Ping Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal (this place is located in Lantau Island close to the HK airport). After getting and touring around Ngong Ping village, you can proceed to the airport by taxi.

You can also do shopping at Citygate Outlets at Tung Chung.
