Hello Mel,

Here's my personal itinerary suggestion that would maximized your time in your day trip to Hong Kong:

HK Disneyland (morning until 4:00pm) --> The Peak (until 7:00pm) --> Tsim Sha Tsui promenade to visit the Avenue of Stars and Watch the Symphony of Lights show that starts at 8:00 pm.

The getting there instruction for this route can be read in this topic - "1 day trip to Hongkong attractions"

1 day in HK - no disneyland stop
by: Anonymous

We will be arriving in HK on 17 March at 17:30 and leaving 23:30 on 18 March.

Could you please help us to plan our day to take in main sites especially Victoria Peak and to take in HK atmosphere.

I have always wanted to visit so it is a pity it is such a short stay.

We are still deciding between staying in TST or HK island.

Many thanks!

Here's my personal itinerary suggestion to maximize your full-day in HK:

8:00am: tai chi lesson at TST promenade
--> 9 mins @ HK$2.5 Star Ferry ride from TST to Central
--> 13 mins @ HK$100 taxi to Aberdeen (until 11:30am)
--> back to Central for lunch at Luk Yu Tea House or Lin Heung Tea House
--> Peak tram ride to The Peak (until 2:30pm)
--> 22 mins @ HK$11.8 MTR train from Central to Wong Tai Sin Temple (until 5:00pm)
--> 17 mins @ HK$6.9 MTR ride from Wong Tai Sin to TST area (for dinner).
--> walk to the TST promenade for Avenue of Stars and to watch the Symphony of Lights show at 8:00pm
--> Walk thru to north of Nathan Road
--> Temple Night Street Market (til midnight)

I appreciate the itinerary, looks excellent. Do you recommend which of those lunch tea houses you recommend? Also do you have a recommendation on an unique dinner spot. Thanks again.

Do I need to make any reservations for the above itinerary from the US? How about reservations for the lunch/dinner spot? Thanks

NO, there's no need for you to book in advance. Most of HK attractions and food spots are in "first come, first served basis".
